President's Message My Hearty Greetings, To all Telugu People living and visiting, Worlds Garden city, The Singapore. It is my pleasure to inform you that new Management Committee has taken charge under my presidency on 08 Aug 2011. I am happy to inform you that our team got elected uncontested as new Management Committee for 2011-2013. The new Management Committee is a cohesion of experienced members from past committee and enthusiastic new personnel from our Telugu community, who came forward willingly to serve Singapore Telugu Samajam (STS). New committee is ready to serve STS in better shape than ever. We assure you, to organize good quality events and variety of programs up to your expectations during our tenure. They will be unique all the time. Excerpt from our constitution (2. Object in first page): "The object of the Society shall be to foster and promote the Telugu culture, art, language, customs and traditions in the context of a homogeneous Singapore society, and in furtherance of this object to provide cultural, social, educational and recreational activities for its members." We feel some of the objectives from the excerpt were not improved till to date, for example Social and Recreational activities were not given much priority thus we would like to emphasize and improve in these areas and provide unique experience to all the STS Members. We look forward for your valuable and usual support to STS, however we solicit your active participation and interaction with us more than ever and encourage the Management Committee to provide better service.
